Microsoft Licenses work on a per user not a per machine. So if you have 5 users on 1 PC then technically you need 5 license. I don't believe there are any licensing issues for QB. We have the five-user edition, and Enterprise is apparently pretty commonly used in RDS scenarios.

The finance workstations are getting a bit old for it, and I figured it'd be cheaper to go this route than to buy them all new machines, especially since Quickbooks is the only thing that really hurts them. You would be correct. The best part about getting stuff like this on a TS is the updates. When updates come out you now can update the 1 server instead of your original 4 or 5 workstations. Yeah, especially for Quickbooks - any update to that has to be done to each of them at once or the database won't let them work.
