I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would as it is more of a countryside reference guide based on Craven's knowledge and experience rather than a direct tie-in to the Countryfile series.

For me though, as interesting as it was, I didn't really learn anything new, but then I have been an ecologist for 15 years and had an interest in the countryside for as long as I can remember, so I can't really blame Craven for that.
