NRCS uses Landscape Conservation Initiatives to accelerate the benefits of voluntary conservation programs, such as cleaner water and air, healthier soil and enhanced wildlife habitat.

Why did you become interested in this career? I became interested in this career because I grew up on a farm and around farmers. I felt as though this would be a good job for me to help the farmers. I am good with computers and have good people skills that make me good for this position.

What opportunities exist for advancement in your position or other job offers? Unfortunately there is limited job advancement due to the rural locality and the distance to our main state office and regional offices; unless of course you are willing to relocate.
